Two-Week Youth Program

Monday through Friday • July 22 through August 2, 2024

Art: Drum. Dance. Create.

  • Who can attend? Children ages six and up. Classes are organized by age group.

  • At Madison Youth Arts Center at 1055 E. Mifflin Street in Madison, WI.

  • We offer classes in dance, drumming, and for the first time this year, visual arts.

    Classes include:

    Afro-Peruvian Dance

    Modern Dance

    West African Dance

    Hip-Hop Dance

    Break Dance

    Afro-Latin Dance

    Samba Dance

    West African Drumming

    Afro-Brazilian Drumming

    Afro-Peruvian Drumming

    Capoeira

    Visual Arts

  • Each day our program will run from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m Monday through Friday.

    Your child will receive in instruction in four art forms each day plus art history and culture. There will be two breaks each day, one for lunch and one for an afternoon snack. Students must bring their own lunch but we will provide the snack.

    On Friday, August 2, 2023 there will be a special presentation for the students’ families from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • $500.
    Need based scholarships are available, please complete the application for consideration.

  • Students with any signs of sickness (whether from flu, COVID, or any other communicable disease) should remain home and not attend camp.
